Artist Statement

This portfolio contains 25 images chosen from an ongoing series. The photographs are from 2010 in Colorado and New Mexico. The images are rendered and recast with strong texture and color modifications. The intent is to revisit landscape photography as an art form with what I hope are fresh and compelling results.

The title, Recast Landscapes - avoiding the effusive panorama comes from my desire to restate a language of landscape photographs. The choice of name has personal significance that expresses my intent in selecting shots and rendering images.

Portfolio II - RECIPROCALS The title, Reciprocals - inversely correspondent and complimentary comes from my desire to stretch the language of landscape photographs. It has personal significance that expresses my intent in rendering these images.
